We hope you join us on campus to get to know us and experience our vibrant campus and community in action. We look forward to welcoming you!
Our fall admissions events are now complete. Stay tuned for information regarding spring events! We will release our event schedule for 2027-28 entry by early September. In the meantime, if you're interested in learning more about FCS, please reach out to Caroline deKieffer, Director of Admissions.
Our application deadline for 2026-27 admission has passed. FCS continues to accept applications for select grades on a rolling basis as space is available. Please contact the Admissions Office directly or submit an Inquiry Form for a status update before proceeding with an application.

We accept applications during the fall of the year preceding desired entry (learn more about our application process here). Our application for 2027-28 will be available by early September.
Note that you will be prompted to log into the FCS applicant portal prior to registering for an on-campus event. If you have not yet created an account, please submit an inquiry. We will provide account creation instructions to you within one business day. If you have trouble accessing your account, please feel free to reach out to the Admissions Office.

Open Houses

FCS hosts a series of Open Houses each year. In keeping with the spirit of FCS, our Open Houses are truly “open”, welcoming events, and the best way to learn more about our school—from FCS students, parents, teachers, and administrators. We look forward to seeing you on campus!

All Open Houses are open to parents/guardians/caregivers interested in applying to Grades K - 8. Registration is now open for select events!

    We invite children and parents/guardians/caregivers interested in our Kindergarten program to join us on campus to meet our Kindergarten teachers and experience our spaces and classrooms. We look forward to a fun morning of exploration and engagement!

Getting to FCS

Friends Community School is located just off Kenilworth Avenue in College Park, Maryland at 5901 Westchester Park Drive. 

Our green building and campus sit on 17 acres adjacent to Greenbelt National Park. FCS is convenient to families in Prince George's County, Montgomery County, DC, and beyond, drawing students from Capitol Hill, nearby DC, Cheverly, Bowie, Upper Marlboro, Takoma Park, Silver Spring, Beltsville, Laurel, and nearby Glenn Dale, Greenbelt, Berwyn Heights, College Park, University Park, Riverdale Park, and Hyattsville.
